The Story
Bodileys was first founded in 1919 and quickly gained a reputable name for itself as a leading footwear brand in the industry. Contributing to the war effort, the family-owned company produced leather boots for soldiers and an extremely British Union Jack design-shoe to celebrate the coronation in 1952. In 1990, the company began paving the way for multi-platform selling, as we know it today, by pioneering the breakthrough of online shopping for British-made shoes. Now under the direction of Sarah Dudley, the fourth generation to run the company, Bodileys is still as committed to producing excellent footwear, reminiscent of its rich history of lasts and intricate designs.
