  • Product Notes

These unique cufflinks have been designed as part of a limited collection to celebrate Deakin & Francis's 230th anniversary. The range was inspired by the folkloric tale of a pirate attack which was fought off by a member of the Deakin family, who was then awarded the Deakin & Francis crest - still used today - for his bravery. The gold plating on these sterling silver cufflinks replicates the precious loot that the pirates sought; the coin is in the style of old-fashioned doubloons. This particular design features the famous Birmingham Anchor. As the hallmark of the Birmingham Assay Office, the anchor is the perfect symbolic of the brand's jewellery roots, and a playful nod to the ill-fated pirates. As with a real coin, the back of the cufflinks feature the commemorative 230 dates, and the cufflinks feature a small domed oval spring link fitting.
