A modern iteration of a penny loafer, the geometric design of the penny window and the short apron stitch played on the silhouette of the last, creating a contemporary yet timeless design.
The Classica Collection was their first and still the most popular line. Hand-lasted and welted by hand, it featured their signature "swallow bird" burgundy shank sole, sewn by hand with a traditional Duer machine.
The term Museum was coined by John Lobb to describe a calf leather that had been pre-treated to obtain a marbled-like effect.
Part of the Classica Collection, these shoes came with individual wool dust bags, lasted wooden shoe trees, and their leather maintenance kit with wax and a small brush, all in a beautiful wooden box for proper storage.
The JS last elegantly and sensually enhanced the curve of the instep towards the ball line. It featured an elongated nose with a soft square shape, elevated instep, generous ball line (close to an E), and slim toe box, all working together to give this last a contemporary look without diminishing its elegance.
