- Product Notes
The Hollywood trouser is a recent Sexton innovation, but this design has been around since the 1930s. The brand's first venture into ready-to-wear tailoring, these are cut with generous, flowing lines that suit all manner of figures for an authentic art-deco look. It takes its name from the trousers that Hollywood costume departments ran-up en masse in the 1940s.They’re made with a structureless ‘grown on’ waistband and dropped belt-loops, that enable them to sit high on the waist and remain comfortable to wear. They feel modern and clean, but carry a touch of Sexton nostalgia. This black pair is destined to become your go-to tailored trouser – formal enough to wear with a navy blazer but relaxed enough to sit with a rollneck and suede blouson.

There aren't many who have had such a significant impact on British tailoring as the formidable Edward Sexton, whose eye for detail and revolutionary craft helped shaped Savile Row into what it is today. Together with Tommy Nutter he opened Nutters of Savile Row in 1969, bringing a renewed energy to the iconic street and attracting high-profile customers from around the world. Having built up a firm reputation in his own right, Sexton launched his namesake label in 1990, relocating to Knightsbridge and further developing his own aesthetic characterised by an architectural yet flattering silhouette.
