  • Product Notes

It's difficult to overstate what an extraordinary piece of clothing this is. Indeed, this jacket is the first piece of ready-to-wear tailoring from one of the most progressive and influential tailors in history, the man whose work defined 20th and 21st century sartorial style – Edward Sexton. Hand-cut from patterns painstakingly designed and refined over the last six months by Edward himself, this jacket is crafted from an opulent red, navy and cream Prince-of-Wales check flannel, and features Sexton's signature dramatic lapel, heroic roped shoulder and elegantly suppressed waistline. Perfect for teaming with greys, subtle earthy tones and bold navy and burgundy hues, this jacket is a truly magnificent piece of tailoring, and presents an unparalleled opportunity to experience the craftsmanship and sartorial flair of one of the industry's true masters. This piece has been produced in limited numbers.

The Story

There aren’t many who have had such a significant impact on British tailoring as the formidable Edward Sexton, whose eye for detail and revolutionary craft helped shaped Savile Row into what it is today. Together with Tommy Nutter he opened Nutters of Savile Row in 1969, bringing a renewed energy to the iconic street and attracting high-profile customers from around the world. Having built up a firm reputation in his own right, Sexton launched his namesake label in 1990, relocating to Knightsbridge and further developing his own aesthetic characterised by an architectural yet flattering silhouette.
