Since the brand's humble beginnings 250 years ago in a small riverside village called Stein just outside Nuremburg, Graf von Faber Castell - German for 'the Count of Faber-Castell - has been producing some of the world's most beautiful and exquisite pens and pencils. The company is still family-owned, and still operates out of the same patch of land at the edge of Stein where Anton Wilhelm built his factory at the turn of the nineteenth century. The brand is renowned for its masterful usage of wood and metal in the manufacturing of its products.
