Rich in heritage and steeped in family creativity sits Luca Avitabile, a prestigious Neapolitan tailoring company, whose humble beginnings pay homage to its birthplace and enchanting story. Emilia Calabi, in 1927, was working as a seamstress at Camiceria Kiurli, and, after 20 years she found the courage to set up on her own with husband Alfredo and succeeded, regardless of the hardship unfortunately faced due to the war. In the '60s Luca’s father joined the business and moved it to San Giorgio a Cremano where Luca grew up with his senses being constantly stimulated from the process of bespoke shirtmaking. After studying for a number of years, Luca began cutting his own bespoke shirts, which are each rendered in luxurious cottons, linens and silk-blend yarns.
