  • Product Notes

Lucan's Fauconberg is as luxurious a take on the bomber jacket as you'll find this season. It is made from a beige Donegal tweed, produced in Ireland from locally-sourced wool. Donegal tweed is considered the best in the world and is notable for combining small pieces of coloured yarn to create an attractive heathered look. The fabric contains natural lanolin that makes it showerproof. The design also includes burnt orange topstitching, antique leather buttons, an antique brass zipper, a shirt-style collar, moleskin-lined side pockets, an inside breast pocket and gold lining with azure blue piping.

There are ginger brown Shetland wool accents on the under-collar, inside cuffs, and under the large front pocket's flaps. This jacket is named for Elizabeth, the wife of the 2nd Earl of Lucan, daughter of Earl Fauconberg, whose ancestor married the daughter of Lord Protector, Oliver Cromwell. Richard Lucan and Elizabeth lived at Fauconberg House in London’s fashionable Soho Square following their scandalous elopement.
