Brown Donegal Tweed Turberville Topcoat$ 1,050
- Product Notes
Each Lucan product has a story, linked by place or surname to the British brand's history. The Turberville topcoat marries the warmth of the Dorset landscape (home of the Turbervilles, the Norman family that inspired the characters in Thomas Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbevilles) with the elegant severity of the Norman marcher lords in Wales. This coat is made in England from Donegal tweed, produced in Ireland from the best quality wool. Donegal tweed has colour-contrasting yarns that give it a colourful, heathered look. This coat had flap pocket details, formed cuffs, a fluted hem and tonal front buttons with one contrasting red buttonhole. It is fully lined and includes an interior left breast pocket.

Inspired by classic country attire, Lucan creates pieces that take traditional designs and heritage cloth and elevate them into a modern setting. Shooting is a huge passion of the founder, Danish-born Countess of Lucan, and she hopes to extend this passion within her designs while encouraging customers to parade their tweed further than the shooting range.
