Black Calf Leather Oxford With Bordeaux Toecap$ 1,050
- Product Notes
This eye-catching Oxford shoe is exemplary of Argentinian shoemaker Norman Vilalta's knack for infusing classic silhouettes with a playfully contemporary spirt. The shoe is cut to perfection with a striking strip of broguing dividing the vamp from the toe box. The architectural precision of the shoe's lines alone would be enough to make it stand out; but, beyond this, the toe cap and the facing are rendered from box calf leather in graded bordeaux for a truly unique touch of unmistakable originality. The shoes are Goodyear welted and lined with quilted leather to ensure durabilty and comfort.

The mastermind behind Norman Vilalta worked as a lawyer before changing professions and training as a shoemaker in Florence - and we at The Rake are glad he did. After honing the incredibly specialised techniques, the Argentinian national founded his business, initially specialising in bespoke before adding ready-to-wear to the brand's offering. Innovative by nature, Vilalta takes classic styles - such as a Derby or Chelsea boot - and puts a spin on them, playing with texture, design or thickness of the sole, while maintaining an unwavering level of comfort and durability.
