- Product Notes
No.1 is the staple design from North-89’s latest collection. This design encompasses functionality and a minimal aesthetic to create a sneaker that can be worn all year and with a number of outfits. The upper is rendered in a waterproof textured fabric and the sole has been crafted from rugged Italian margom rubber. The topline, lace placket, heel cup and tongue are formed from supple Italian suede and it features an innovative memory foam, antibacterial insole – an important component as the sneaker is designed for transeasonal wear.

North-89, a Stockholm based footwear brand, noticed that a lot of new sneaker designs are focused less on functionality, and more on the aesthetics. And whilst founder, Gustaf Secher, agrees that a sneaker needs to look good, he believes that a functional approach will ensure the design stands the test of time. Scandinavian seasons call for sneakers all year round, so they’ve infused some of their clean and simple design culture into the popular cup sole sneaker. Innovation and maintained functionality are the paramount goals for North-89 and they aim to achieve this with their curated sneaker collection rendered in waterproof materials and handmade in Portugal.
