The Story
Today a brand renowned for its innovative accessories and apparel, Oakley's story is one of humble beginnings. Starting in a garage with an initial investment of $300 in 1975, James Jannard designed and began selling 'The Oakley Grip'; a motorcycle handle grip like none other at the time, the material of which is still present in the brand's sunglasses to this day. Moving onto motorcycle goggles, Oakley thus began to gain its reputation of high-performance eyewear; eventually expanding its range to men's and women's apparel. Devoted to innovation, Oakley's quality sporting equipment and specialised eye gear are a favourite to athletes around the world.
