  • Product Notes

In 1992, this became the very first black dial yellow gold Speedmaster and was the icon to celebrate 50 years of the famed caliber 321. For this special colour configuration, the only other Speedmaster that has such a dial is the 7-piece MIR 365 edition. Powering this is the COSC-certified calibre 864, which made this the first COSC-certified manual-wound Speedy. The watch is made using 18ct gold, and is finished with anti-glare treatment so that you can still tell the time accurately while landing on the moon in the full glare of the sun.

The Story

If the fact that the RAF chose Omega watches as the timekeepers for its combat units in 1917, or that an Omega was the first watch on the moon in 1969 is not ample evidence of Omega's quality and reliability, you need only try on one of their models to get a fitting sense of how well crafted these watches are. A quick glance at some of the men whose wrists have sported an Omega watch might also help: this Swiss brand has counted Prince William, JFK and James Bond among its customers.
