The Story

Italian brand Persol is renowned for creating luxury eyewear, thanks to its dedication to craft and innovative design. Its recognisable styles are created, mostly by hand, in the brand’s original factory in Turin, which has been operating for 100 years. As well as sharp designs, Persol’s signature developments, such as The Arrow hinge and Meflecto flex stem, have become a defining characteristic of the eyewear, underpinning the brand’s ethos as well as creating a sense of modesty within the aesthetic. Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and Marcello Mastroianni, all revered for their style nous, wore Persol both in and out of character, exemplifying the brand’s inextricable link to 20th century glamour.
