  • Product Notes

This striped cotton jersey is handknit in the traditional 12-gauge style and feels incredible. It had a classic rugby collar with a 3-button placket and knitted, ribbed cuffs. Its authentic look is sports history-inspired.It was during their 1965 South Africa tour that the Argentinian rugby team gained its now-official nickname, "The Pumas." A South African journalist mistook the jaguar badge emblazoned on the team's jersey for a puma, and the name stuck. To this day, the Argentinian team is known as The Pumas, and their badge remains the jaguar. This design is produced in collaboration with Sports D'Epoque.
