Sabina Savage's elegant scarf is illustrated by hand and part of her Noh Playbook Collection, inspired by the oldest surviving form of Japanese theatre. In this scene, the sly fox uses his obi braid to fasten his additional 8 tails, transforming himself into Genkuro, a mystical Kitsune (九尾狐 or nine-tailed fox). As their performance unfolds, the hare begins to feel uneasy and suspects the fox may be using the play to gain himself an early dinner.
