Ahmed Rahman, or simply Shary, is one of the world’s most prolific and knowledgeable
watch collectors, who just so happens to be The Rake’s resident Sartorial Consigliere. Born in Bangladesh, he moved
to England in his early teens to undergo his education and he now resides in Mayfair, London, and from the W1
postcode operates the marketing side of the family business.
With a penchant for bespoke tailoring, fine cigars and, of course, watches, his
upbringing has helped define his personal sense of style. He took some time out to browse our offering and picked a
few of his favourites.
“Being in the business of marketing fashion I have always had a soft corner for tailoring
and beautiful clothing. In my field of work I am constantly exposed to the ever-changing trends of the fashion world
which have a very limited shelf life.
As a result, with age I have come to realise that style and specially one’s individual
style is timeless and only evolves into something better as time goes by. For me my individual style has always been
to mix and match tailoring with casual outfits and accessories with a focus on comfort and fit. And therefore the
following are my current go to pieces from the Rakes very stylish and well curated Rogues Gallery.”
