Grand Seiko 2020 Collection Preview with The Rake & Revolution

There’s nothing like a party to celebrate an exciting association between two companies whose outlook on craft and elegance is remarkably entwined. On Thursday night guests gathered for an evening of horological splendour, at Grand Seiko’s magnificent Knightsbridge boutique, just a stone’s throw away from Harrods. Flanked by pristine glass cabinets, incandescent with exceptional timepieces, The Rake’s founder Wei Koh and Revolution editor Richard Holt were the hosts of the evening, giving an insightful and educational rendition on particular Grand Seiko timepieces. Managing Director of Seiko UK Limited David Edwards eloquently rounded off the discussion with a courteous welcome for the evening ahead. An international array of guests associated with the watch and tailoring industry were able to peruse the meticulous details of watches in close proximity as store specialists kindly removed them from their cabinets upon request. We would like to give special thanks to one of the oldest companies in the distribution of alcoholic beverages in Japan, who supplied some soothing whisky. Guests were also treated to some sumptuous canapés from Akira restaurant whilst conversing with one another about watches amongst other subjects throughout the evening.
