Wei Koh, The Rake's founder and editorial director, likens his selection here as having a "sartorial desert island vibe to the clothes” and he's not wrong. Featuring the likes of Zaremba Bespoke, with its tropical Hawaiian print shirt, and Barbanera, with its rugged, relaxed and cool approach to clothing and footwear, plus a fantastic selection of Neapolitan tailoring, which is the logical choice if you happen to be unfortunate enough to be stranded on a desert island, the edit highlights linens, cottons, silks and tropical wools as popular cloth choices. Following on from that, there's an obvious need for practicality and utility garments and accessories, and for that Anderson & Sheppard's 17-pocket travel jacket, which was introduced into the permanent collection after a successful bespoke commission via the inimitable and late A.A. Gill, plus Bennett & Winch's backpack for the modern-man, will both come in handy. If you happen to then run into a spot of bother and come across an unsightly and aggressive island creature, Z Zegna's Techmerino sneakers should get you out of trouble (hopefully).
