In recent years, the bomber jacket has transcended the environs of subcultural cool to become a mainstay in the modern man's wardrobe. The once military classic has become de rigeur in every genre of menswear, from nylon iterations borne from edgy streetwear to more sophisticated tailored styles. It's precisely this versatility that has made it so popular. The silhouette, simple though it is, is unabashedly masculine and can be worn with just about anything you have in your wardrobe. Where we get interested is when it comes in a luxurious natural fibre and if there is anyone we can count on to execute such a piece, it is Italian brand Valstar. They have released an exquisite minimalist bomber made from grey goat suede that feels as good as it looks. If that wasn't reason enough to snaffle one, it was also worn by Jude Law in the film Vox Lux, which also stars a manic Natalie Portman. Law, as we know from his work in The Talented Mr Ripley, has a knack of turning classic pieces of clothing into iconic must-haves and we feel like he has just ticked another box with Valstar's bomber.
