The Edit... by Tomoyoshi Takada

If you're a follower of sartorial menswear channels on Instagram, you will almost certainly be familiar with one Tomoyoshi Takada (@tomoyoshi_takada) of BEAMS Japan. The menswear buyer is one of the most photographed men on the 'circuit' and can be invariably found on 'best-dressed' lists season upon season. Far from wearing outrageous insta-bait outfits, Takada-san's signature style is above all classic, seamlessly blending English, Italian and Japanese sartorial traditions into one cohesive aesthetic. His look is extremely polished without ever appearing contrived, helped by his immaculate attention to detail. What we love above all else is his ability to mix silhouettes and genres: pairing wide-leg pleated trousers with a white t-shirt and denim jacket for example.
