Red Crab And Seashell Water-Reactive Swim Shorts
$ 245Not in stock
- Product Notes
These Vilebrequin swim shorts are modelled off the brand's classic Moorea style from the 70s, rendered in blocked red. However, when one goes for a swim, a marine-inspired pattern emerges thanks to the trunks' water-reactive material. These trunks finish mid-thigh, with a drawstring waist and back pocket.

The Story
There’s no more apt location for a luxury swimwear company to be founded than Saint-Tropez, which is precisely where Vilebrequin’s story starts. Wanting an alternative to the very small and very tight trunks prevalent at the time, founder Fred Prysquel launched a brand in 1971 selling boxer-style swim shorts inspired by those he had seen men wearing in California. That initial style – called the Moorea – had a drawstring waist and loose, thigh-grazing legs, and still features heavily in the brand’s collections today. The quick-dry material is also still patterned with loud, retro-style prints to ensure the discerning wearer doesn’t go unnoticed on the beach.
