Cromford Leather Company

As a testament to Cromford Leather Company’s expertise, some of England’s leading fashion names – Margaret Howell, Mulberry and Holland & Holland, to name a few – entrust the company with their leatherwork. Founded in 1971 by Savile Row graduate Alan Sprooles and Peter Goodall, it operated as The General Leather Company for 45 years, carving a name for itself as a champion of British manufacturing, crafting read-to-wear and bespoke pieces out of leather, suede and shearling. In 2016, under the helm of Pauline Harris, the company was renamed in homage to the birthplace of Britain’s industrial revolution; Cromford, Derbyshire.
