Church's Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Shannon
An evening of fête at The Twenty Two in Mayfair, featuring the exclusive reissue of the 1974 Shannon Shoe and the unveiling of British actor Harry Lawtey as the brand’s new ambassador.
Last night, Church's celebrated the 50th anniversary of its iconic Shannon shoe with an exclusive event at The Twenty Two club in Mayfair, London. The splendid Edwardian mansion on Grosvenor Square welcomed friends of the brand, the press, and a host of celebrities for a stylish cocktail reception, followed by an intimate dinner.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of a limited-edition reissue of the 1974 Shannon shoe. Crafted in polished leather on the original 224 last, the collector’s piece is available in classic black or the historic Dalmarnock shade, a rich tobacco-like hue. Church's also introduced its new Brand Ambassador, British actor Harry Lawtey, who stars in the latest campaign shot by English photographer Phil Pointer.
Among the notable guests were Harry Lawtey, William Abadie, David Harewood, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Lucrezia Guidone, Alessio Lapice, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Ed Speleers, pianist Cyrill Ibrahim, and dancer Marcelino Sambé.
