- Product Notes
The Hollywood top trouser began its journey in the 1930’s when this design was a staple in every costume department. Edward Sexton has brilliantly adapted them as their introduction into ready-to-wear tailoring extends and expands beyond jackets to include trousers. Reminiscent of an art-deco feel, they are generously cut and feature front pleats, a single flap pocket on the rear, belt loops and a zip fly and hook and bar fastening. The Rake suggests wearing with a classic Edward Sexton shirt and jacket for a decadent finish.

There aren’t many who have had such a significant impact on British tailoring as the formidable Edward Sexton, whose eye for detail and revolutionary craft helped shaped Savile Row into what it is today. Together with Tommy Nutter he opened Nutters of Savile Row in 1969, bringing a renewed energy to the iconic street and attracting high-profile customers from around the world. Having built up a firm reputation in his own right, Sexton launched his namesake label in 1990, relocating to Knightsbridge and further developing his own aesthetic characterised by an architectural yet flattering silhouette.
