LORENZO CIFONELLI FOR THE RAKE LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION: second drop

In view of last month’s collaboration between Lorenzo Cifonelli and The Rake proving so popular, we’re happy to reveal a second drop featuring six new Lorenzo-designed looks, that perpetuate the Riviera charm at groundbreaking value.

If you’re an iconic Parisian tailoring house, with an extraordinary bespoke reputation that stretches as far back as 1880 - one might wonder why they would want to produce a prêt-à-porter collection where no jacket is priced above $USD 1,000. Cifonelli believe that by cultivating a more accessible line that retains their signature qualities, it can be the spark for a younger gentleman to start a long relationship with the brand. After the success of the first launch and to maintain a reachable value for our community Lorenzo has designed each garment himself. To put this revolutionary concept into perspective – a Cifonelli-designed jacket under $USD 1,000, is eight times cheaper than a bespoke jacket and one third of the price of the brand’s ready-to-wear versions.

Lorenzo Cifonelli has been reflecting over the lack of accessibility to the upper echelons of menswear for a few years now. He said: “I recognise today that tailoring is in a fight for its survival. In order to survive, in order to ensure the future of our craft and our culture, we must engage the new generation of customers.” After a call with The Rake’s Founder, Wei Koh, they hatched a plan for The Rake and Cifonelli to come together to produce a signature Cifonelli range, that is offered at groundbreaking value. The result was the Lorenzo Cifonelli for The Rake limited edition collection, which due to popular demand has returned with a second drop featuring six incredible new looks.

The buying window for this Made-To-Order collection is open from now until Wednesday 12th May 2021. The garments and accessories will be dispatched in 7-8 weeks. For customers that ordered garments from the first drop, please note that production has already begun and orders will be arriving in accordance to initial schedule.
