Havana Club x Linley

Cuban spirit met English expertise last week as Linley and The Rake hosted the third in the series of the Havana Club Maestro evenings.
Havana Club x Linley
Last week, The Rake hosted the third in a series of events championing the Cuban craft of Havana Club's Selección de Maestros series. This time round, we partnered with one of the finest interior brands and marquetry specialists in the world - Linley - with the event taking place in their Pimlico showroom, a cornucopia of jaw-dropping furniture and homeware pieces (some of which you can purchase here at The Rake.) With Havana Club's brand ambassador Max Warner (@therumgentleman) walking the audience through the exquisite prestige rums on offer throughout the evening (not to mention wearing a very swish pink-striped seersucker suit cut in an American 1920s style), it was hard not to be swayed (literally) by the allure of 'just one more' El Presidente <insert drinking in moderation slogan here>. Above all though, the evening will be best remembered as a joyous coming together of the like-minded, from the worlds of fashion, interiors and fine spirits. If there's one common denominator that binds this trinity together, it is the love of and passion for craftsmanship. We see it in the Cuban culture, we see it in Linley's majestic marquetry, and we see it in the smiles and attire of all who attended the evening. Here's to you all!
