The Rake Atelier x Permanent Style Presents Pop-Up Shop
Simon Crompton’s ‘Permanent Style Presents’ pop-up shop returns to Savile Row this November after a hugely successful debut earlier this year, and it is with great pleasure that we announce The Rake’s involvement this season. For the first time we are presenting readers with the opportunity to view and try a selection of clothing from The Rake Atelier in person, as well as speak with our menswear specialists in store. The pop-up shop provides a unique opportunity to discover, learn about and invest in pieces that aren’t usually available in London. At The Rake Atelier’s stand you’ll find a carefully curated selection of artisanal Italian brands alongside our unique collaborative collections from the likes of Turnbull & Asser and Huntsman. As always, we prize hand-made tailored classics, seeking out brands who use only the finest materials and the most skilled craftspeople. Amongst these present at the pop-up will be Marol, whose shirts are cut and stitched by hand – a matter of pride for a company entrenched in heritage. You will also find Ambrosi, a brand that has dedicated its whole livelihood to creating masterfully cut, flattering trousers. The Rake Atelier now proudly holds two sumptuous goose down versions of Valstar’s Valstarino jacket, a garment that boasts exquisite levels of craftsmanship. Other Italian brands to look out for are SantilloLardini and Sciamat, the latter of whom will be showcasing their singular take on Italian style. At The Rake we seek out the most unique, authentic and artisanal garments and accessories that we feel capture the current sartorial climate. Leading the way in this vein is our Turnbull & Asser x Mo Coppoletta collection. Legendary shirtmaker Turnbull & Asser became aware of how tattoo and motorcycle culture was entwining itself with the sartorial world, and sought out tattoo artist Mo Coppoletta for a groundbreaking collaboration, all of which will be available to view at the pop-up shop. The pièce de résistance of our showcase has to be the Charcoal Urban Tweed Hacking Jacket, however, a collaboration with Savile Row tailor Huntsman, exclusive to The Rake, and inspired by the enchanting city of New York. The Rake Atelier will be at Permanent Style Presents from November 29th-December 3rd and December 6th-10th. Open Wednesday to Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.
